What it covers

Climate finance flows to fragile and conflict-affected settings are a fraction of what those settings need, in part because the risks of investing there are poorly understood and poorly priced. This case study examines how a Peace Bond structure can be combined with climate finance instruments, so that adaptation and mitigation investments are designed to reduce conflict risk as well as emissions, and become financeable in places they currently do not reach.
